The connection is made on the connector at the back of the radio using the dedicated cable included with the purchase. The unit does not need to be opened and no soldering is required: the tool reads the data and returns the code ready to be entered.

The procedure, step by step

Connect the cable to the radio
The dedicated cable plugs into the connector on the back of the radio. Insert it with the red side facing up.
Prepare the power supply
Set up the 12V power supply on the rear connector of the radio, positive and ground in the indicated positions.
Connect the adapter and launch the software
Connect the USB adapter to your PC, launch the software and select the assigned COM port. Press Connect and power the radio at 12V when prompted.
Get the code
The software proceeds automatically. When the progress bar completes, the code appears on screen, ready to enter.
